What is a Floral Studio? My Viola~Floral Studio is a space where people can come to express their emotions thru flowers. Come touch the hydrangeas or smell the stock blossoms that are out on display. The exposed brick walls and stainless duct work give the space a welcoming atmosphere where you can relax on the couch or sit at the bar height counter and look thru floral books. Be inspired by the music playing or the featured art on the wall. The owner and staff at My Viola~Floral Studio's passion is flowers and floral design...and we want you to come explore your creativity!
Enjoy a night out with Friends & Flowers...My Viola~Floral Studio holds floral design classes seasonally. It's a grand time getting together with friends, having refreshments and making a beautiful bouquet for yourself to take home. Classes are very popular and will be limited to 9 "students"per class. Be sure to sign up early!
Weddings & Events My Viola~Floral Studio specializes in Wedding design and setup. My Viola~Floral Studio has the only certified Wedding Specialist in Great Falls. Thru the use of flowers, My Viola-Floral Studio will create a festive,funky party or an elegant, casual atmosphere for any social gathering in Great Falls or surrounding areas.
About the Owner
Kari lane Johnson
Owner Kari lane Johnson, a Great Falls native, has over 15 years experience in the Floral Industry. She first started at Riverview Floral & Greenhouse in Ft. Benton, MT learning floral design and techniques. She then moved to Sally's Flowers in Great Falls where she worked as a delivery driver and designer creating her sense of design style. She then moved to Electric City Conservatory where she gained much experience working for 7 years...3 years as assistant manager and another 3 years as manager.
She has completed training thru the Floral Design Institute of Portland, OR and is certified in Basic Floral Design and as an Advanced Wedding Specialist. She serves as the secretary of the Montana Florist's Association. She is also the recipient of the 2012 Aspire Award from the GFDA.
When not at My Viola, Kari enjoys spending time with her husband, Garrett and feline friends, Viola and Pidgewidgeon, gardening and reading.
The team
March Becker-Floral Designer March, a Great Falls native, has been designing for 3years. She brings a unique outlook to design with her addition of whimsical elements. March enjoys making jewelry and creates her pieces for My Viola, as Luna's Beads.
Kaila Haffeman-Floral Designer Kaila has a Zen approach to her design using minimal elements. Her favorite design style is Ikebana, which she continues to learn. Kaila enjoys skiing, being outdoors and her friendly feline.
Connie Becker-Merchandiser Connie, also a Great Falls native, (and Kari and March's mom!) has the most important job at My Viola-taking care of all the cut flowers and merchandise that comes in. When not spending time with her two grandsons, Connie is the creator of Lulu Baby's wool creations, sold at My Viola.
Vanessa Hale-Apprentice Floral Designer Living in Great Falls for a few year's now, Vanessa is always a smiling face and helpful to all. Vanessa's talents are using wire and creating small, fun details to her designs.
Heather Pierce-Delivery Heather is the one who delivers all the creations from My Viola….with a smile! Raised in the Butte and Boulder area, Heather has been in Great Falls for a little over a year and is quickly learning addresses!
Debbie Feller- Plants Debbie is our newest My Viola employee but has much experience with plants. She has grown her own orchids, succulents and house plants. She enjoys her grandson and traveling.
Garrett Johnson- Office Manager The "Man behind the curtain", Garrett takes care of all the accounts, payments and bills! When not working his other full time job, you'll see him assisting Kari with weddings or out delivering on Saturdays.
